Key Responsibilities

• Strong dimensional modeling and data modeling skills.
• Must have strong data analysis skills.
• Must be capable of analyzing and implementing performance improvements, including SQL tuning
• Code complex PL/SQL packages, functions and procedures and assist in the planning & implementation of major software upgrades.
• Experience with PLSQL Scripts, UNIX Shell Scripts and skills with Multidimensional OLAP (MOLAP), Relational OLAP (ROLAP) and Agile development methodology
• Analyzes business requirements and translates those into scalable solutions by utilizing best design methodologies and coding standards.
• Provides production support and ongoing OLAP/Tabular maintenance through optimization of cube performance, data integrity, capacity and reliability.
• Creates solutions and helps prepare test plans by having solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional/cube data modeling techniques, including MDX scripting.
• Creates and maintains documentation on data warehouse processes and procedures; analyzes, troubleshoots and tunes product performance and fixes deployment issues as required.
• Installs/upgrades/configures Pentaho servers, security, cube scheduling, solution deployment, backing up and restoring databases/cubes.
• Follows business requirements and works with data analysts on physical database design and modeling.

Qualifications:

• BI background & strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (Migration, Cleansing, Mining & Auditing) and Data Modeling.
• Data modeling experience
• Query tuning experience
• Iterative development experience, preferably with Agile Scrum
• Strong understanding of Database concepts and objects is a must.
• Strong knowledge of writing SQL.
• Knowledge of building ETL jobs to move data to DW.
• Data validation and Data mining.
